چون کسی را دوست ندارند، خود را دوستدار خدا
انگاشته اند.

My
take on this is: True love does not happen just by instincts. It has to be
learned and developed and so someone like parents, society, ... have to help
you and teach you. You have to get exposure to it. It is in fact an art. It is the grandest and broadest kind of
"meaning" of life. It is the basis on which we build our lives.
To give meaning to our
lives is the most crucial mental exercise that we do to enable us keep going on
permanent basis, to survive.
The need for meaning
existed in the old days but they could not fulfill it. It was as if there was a
vacuum in their minds that because of the nature of uncivilized life they had
they could not fill it. To fulfill it they searched for it within their biggest
mental preoccupation that existed at the time which was "fear" out of
which they created God: an illusion to which they hung all their lives. In our
today's life we need not believe in God but we still need to have
"meaning". True love toward someone or some people or even bigger
things like the whole existence of the wold, the future, justice, happiness,
descent life, .... is the "meaning" that we all need.
True love has been
discovered by many people around the world (poets, authors, scientist, and
geniuses) but it has never caught on by ordinary people because first of all it
has been distracted by religion and second it is not easy like believing in
God. One has to work on it and develop it. I guess you have to create the
conditions that you work on it and develop it; you need other like-minded
people to help you with it. You need to read a lot.
